ProdChatsAI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the ProdChatsAI web app and browser extension, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1Information We Collect
Product Page URLs
When you use our browser extension or paste a product link, we receive the URL of that product page (e.g., an Amazon or Flipkart listing). These are publicly accessible URLs and do not contain personal information.
Chat & Debate Inputs
Any text you type in the chat or debate interface is sent to our AI service solely to generate a response. We do not store conversation history on our servers beyond the duration of your active session.
No Account Required
ProdChatsAI does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
2How We Use Your Information
AI Analysis Only
Product URLs and your chat inputs are used exclusively to fetch product details and generate AI-powered comparisons or responses. This is the sole purpose of data processing.
No Profiling
We do not build user profiles, track browsing behaviour across sessions, or use your data for advertising, remarketing, or any purpose unrelated to the product analysis feature.
3Browser Extension Data
Local Storage
The ProdChatsAI browser extension stores your collected product URL list locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly click 'Open Full Chat' or 'Launch Full Debate', at which point the URL is forwarded to prodchatsai.com as a query parameter.
Tab URL Access
The extension reads the URL of your currently active tab only to detect whether you are on a supported product page. It does not read page content, track your browsing history, or access any other tab data.
4Data Sharing & Third Parties
No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party under any circumstances.
AI Provider
Product URLs and chat inputs are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
No Other Third Parties
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking pixels on this service.
5Data Retention
Session Only
Chat and debate conversations are not stored on our servers after your session ends. Product URLs submitted for analysis are not retained in any database.
Extension Local Data
URLs saved in the extension's debate collection remain on your device until you clear them using the 'Clear All' button inside the extension popup.
6Children's Privacy
Not Directed at Children
ProdChatsAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7Changes to This Policy
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of ProdChatsAI after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
